Introduction

It has been generations since people have known the warmth of the sun and the glory of the stars. Under the perpetual cover of dust and smog, all flora and fauna have perished but humankind continues their punished existence with only memories passed down by whispers from forgotten lips. 

But for you, memories are not enough. Before you lies a mountain which reaches above the clouds. You might not make it to the top and you will not make it back. But you passed the point of no return the first time you dared to dream.

You will see the sun and sky again, whatever it takes.

About

Ascent is a 3D first person platformer that makes use of an inertia based physics system. Rather than free climbing using movement keys, attach yourself to a climbable object and swing to build momentum to jump to the next. 

Along the way, you will find new equipment giving you gameplay advantages such as being able to swing further and create climbable surfaces of your own. However, you will also be met with new puzzles and obstacles such as a falling objects and surfaces you can only hang on to for a limited period of time.
